

Born September 29, 1941 in Bloomington to Arthur and Lucille (Bowen) Hany, he married the love of his life, Toni Swords. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Rhonda (John) Meismer and Lynn Stone, both of East Peoria; five grandchildren, Dax Meismer and Haley Meismer, both of East Peoria, Zac Weber of Chicago, and Lynsey (Alex) Temple and Josh Weber, both of Monmouth; and one great-grandchild, Ada Temple of Monmouth.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Weber, and his parents.
Ronald was a graduate of Central High School in Peoria and proudly served as a Seabee with the United States Navy in Greece and off the shores of Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Following an honorable discharge in December 1964, he found employment with Fleming-Potter in Peoria. He worked there until his retirement in early 2000.
Ronald loved living on waterfront properties in Groveland and most recently at Spring Lake in rural Manito. His love for the outdoors was endless. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and baseball. He always felt one with nature.
An avid bowler, he scored many 300-games in his days of bowling.
Ronald devoted his last six years to his wife, Toni, a 16-year survivor of Dementia and insisted that she would stay in their home on Spring Lake.
A gathering celebrating his life will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Mt. Hawley Bowl, 8200 North Hale Avenue, Peoria, Illinois 61615.
Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Limestone Presbyterian Cemetery.
