Ronald E Johnston

Born November 1, 1946 in Peoria to Frank Clifford and Patricia Mae (Caldwell) Johnston, he married Loretta Fay Cash on September 28, 1973 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Frank E. Johnston and Eric L. Johnston, both of Peoria; one daughter, April L. Johnston of Peoria; two sisters, Frances Tiff of Peoria and Donna (Don) Ernst of Brimfield; three brothers, Carl (Brenda) Ruck, Jr. and Steve Ruck , both of Peoria, and John (Cec) Ruck of Williamsfield; and mother-in-law, Ruth L. Allcock of Peoria.

His parents and step-father, Carl Ruck, Sr. preceded him in death.

Ron worked for I. Erlichman in Peoria for 20 years and later for Norm's Janitorial Service in Peoria for 5 years, last working in 2000.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening where he raised his prized tomatoes.

His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2008at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Pastor Paul Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
