Rosalie M Fahnders

Born September 11, 1933 in Schuyler County to Lewis and Lela (Shaver) Milby, she married George “Bobby” Fahnders on September 8, 1952 in Normal.  He died on January 27, 1980 in Pekin.

Also preceding in death were 1 daughter, Sharon Kay Fahnders; 2 brothers; and 1sister.

Surviving are 1 daughter, Donna (Dan) Bearden of Pekin; 1 son, Donald Fahnders of Naperville; 5 grandchildren, Tim (Bridget) Bearden of Chicago, Tracie Bearden of St. Louis, Nicholas Fahnders of Connecticut, Alex Fahnders of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Shelby Fahnders of Minnesota; 4 sisters, Joyce Goodwin of Pekin, Faye Avery of Mt. Sterling, Florence Edwards of Petersburg, and Ramona Henderson of Macomb; and 2 brothers Merle Milby of Vermont, Leslie Milby of Macomb.

Rosalie worked in the deli at Mr. K’s supermarket in Pekin for over 15 years.  She had also worked at Parkside Athletics in Pekin for many years.

She was a member of the Second Reformed Church in Pekin.

The St. Louis Cardinals, traveling, watching television and family functions were what she lived for.

Her memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Second Reformed Church in Pekin.  Rev. Jay Sowers will officiate.  There will be no visitation.  Burial of cremated remains will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.  Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hopedale Hospital, 107 Tremont St., Hopedale, IL 61747.
