No higher than four feet was I when I looked out to find you working in the sun sweeping the sidewalk we all played upon, cried upon, and loved upon.  You taught my mind euchre and always kept your golden smile through every hand life dealt to you.  I was given the gift of hearing you on the phone as you read to me the poem "Mustn't Quit".  
Grandma Gianessi, I will work with the smile you gave me and sweep away the troubles like you do with the sun to stand through my days as you showed in example what the woman of honor may bring to everyone she touches by heart and deed.  Godspeed.

What a beautiful lady, mother and great wife. You and Don were so good to me when I was younger going through cancer. I will never forget that. I'm real sad that I was unable to be there as Maureen and I are living in the UK currently. Our prayers go out to the whole Gianessi family. Peace be with you Rose.

I wish for nothing more than just one more day, For I would give it all, just to hear her say.
It's funny how in life it seems you take for granted the most important things.
To feel her close, and be safe again, safe from my own self, back with my best friend.
Yes, she was the best, and at other times the only, my friend, you left me here, and now my heart is lonely.
If you could just come back, if only for one day, I'd make sure that ii'd listen to all you had to say.
And now that it's too late, you cannot speak anymore.  I finally realized, I should have heard you before. 
And if I could do it over, I'd only change one thing.  I'd tell you that I love you, and how much joy to me you bring. 
No one will ever know quite how I feel inside, and on that day you left, you weren't the only one who died. 
You have always been there, mom, and you loved me 'till the end, so with all my heart and soul, I love you too, My Friend.

Brenda, Mike and the rest of the family - I was so sorry to hear about your mom. Please know that my thoughts & prayers are with you all. She was a wonderful woman and always treated me & the boys like we were family. She will be greatly missed.

Grandma Rose. What a rose you are. Your outpouring love and kindness overwhelmed our family, and how lucky each and everyone of us are to have a rose like you. You will forever be in my everyday thoughts. I will always long for the comfort and content feelings your presence and your home made me feel. Your love and compassion towards your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren showed just how strong of a woman you were. I couldn't have asked for a better grandmother. How lucky I am to be able to see what joy my babies brought to your face when we would visit, and the love you gave them every single visit. Thank you for all the memories grandma. My heart aches but my mind is at ease knowing you are at peace. As you deserve to be. Love you more than all the stars in the sky.

Dear Mom, You were the epitome of the word "MOTHER"… Thank You for all  your sacrifices, Words of Wisdom, but most of all Mom, Thank You for your never ending love. I will never forget your last words to me as my daughter Brittney Rose took your new little great-granddaughter from your arms and  you grabbed my hand and looked at me and said-""I remember when you were my little girl…I loved you then…and I love you now". I never doubted that Mom, not for a second. I also remember how you hated it when people would say…Oh My God.. YOU had nine kids…what did you do with all of them…and you would look at them with a smile and simply say…Well, I took care of them. and no words could be more true! You not only took care of us Mom, but you took care of all nine of us with a Great Love, Compassion and Understanding that only a "Good" Mother carries in her heart. So Thank You again for being that kind of a Mother to ALL of us and to your grandchildren as well. Dear Rose,
I want to thank you for for ALWAYS adding me into the mix as if I was one of your own.  Having been an only child for the first ten and a half years of my life, I always looked forward to our family visits to your home and was ecstatic when 
you would encourage my parents to let me stay all night or hang out for the day. One more addition was never an issue for you. I will never forget the aromas that filled your kitchen, and how I did not know for many years that you were not Italian, as you cooked just like our nonies. Halloween was my favorite time of the year to hang out with my cousins, as there was a treasure chest of costumes to choose from, from over the years, and you would look the other way and never tell my parents that we trick or treated all the way to the convent, just so we could get the homemade Carmel apples and popcorn balls.  I will also cherish the times that I visited you and Don 
when I would return home for a visit. You would be downstairs cutting fresh tomatoes from your garden, to add to the red gravey already simmering on the stove, while extending out your other arm for a warm embrace that was consistently there for all who visited. Shortly after, the wine would be poured, 

Don would retell our family stories, and sing the songs sung by our elders, and our glasses would be raised to toast another 
"Cien Anni" (May we live a hundred years), then you would make an excuse to have the women go upstairs and leave the men to their tales downstairs, and that is where we would have our own wine and you would ask all about what was 
happening in our lives and tell us the "HERSTORY", of our family, as has been traditionally passed from kitchen to kitchen over the centuries.  I am ever grateful to you, for having been an eloquent keeper of our Italian history, I just wish I would have asked more about yours. Rose, you had a 
heart like a big dining room table, that had endless leaves(extensions), to assure there was room for everyone, and I was honored to have known how wonderful your unconditional love was. In honor of your selfless heart as a  daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend and RN, we raise our glasses to celebrate your memories that will live on another "Cien Anni", through every life you have ever touched. You will always have a piece of my heart Rose. I love and miss you.....xoxo

Grandma, you lit up my day with that beautiful smile every time I had walked in that front door. You are one of the few people I love in my life who actually wanted to see me succeed. You made me laugh in your funny ways you did things and I will never forget the day of my junior homecoming where I came and surprised you. Your eyes lit up like christmas and gave me the biggest hug. I love you with all my heart and more my sweet grandma. Give grandpa a kiss from me and rest in eternal life with your true love.
