

Born June 22, 1928 in Literberry to George Oliver and Selma Gertrude McFarland Decker, she married William Lee Decker on November 23, 1946 in Pekin. He died February 21, 1994 in Pekin. Her parents also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Janice M. Lohnes and Joyce A. Budke Gullette, both of Pekin; one son, Dennis L. Decker of Pekin; five grandchildren, Stacy R. (Steve) Lohnes Neulinger of Manito, Danny D. Budke and Jed A. Decker, both of Pekin, Shawn Daily of South Pekin and Shane Lohnes of Pekin; four great-grandchildren, Jade L. Budke of Lewisport, Kentucky, Tyler A. Neulinger and Austin L. Neulinger, both of Manito, and Brody A. Daily of South Pekin; three sisters, Clarice Mason of Pekin, Mildred Tucker of Jacksonville, and Mary Bell of Virginia, Illinois; and one brother, Albert (Ruth) Decker of Creve Coeur.
A homemaker, Ruth had worked at Libby's in Morton and later as a bottler at the American Distilling Company in Pekin.
She was a member of the Pekin Women of the Moose No. 673.
Ruth enjoyed bowling, going to garage sales, and collecting bird houses.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2005at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
