Oh where to begin. We met when I lived in Havana when I lived across the sidewalk from you. I lived in a terrible and abusive marriage and you were my rock more times than I can count. I remember whoever was watching MTV we would run across the sidewalk when our favorite songs would come on. I still see your face when I hear The Longest Time or Uptown Girl by Billy Joel. We both moved away from Havana and didn’t get to see each other much, but I’ll always remember the laughter and the tears, and one of the best friends I ever had. I love you, Ruth, Rest In Peace until we meet again.

I met this sweet friend 20 years ago on the red eye from Vegas- fate and luck sat us next to each other- we talked the whole 6 hours and immediately became friends- we have stayed in touch ever since- we had always planned on seeing each other again someday but just never did it- lesson learned - we fortunately got to catch up on the phone a few weeks ago-a truer friend I never had- I love you Ruthie-I am heartbroken - I can only hope you realize the enormous impact you had on so many people that loved you- till we meet again- love. Love Lives On
Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one is gone.
Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
for as long as there is memory,
they'll live on in our heart..

Ruth, you have always had the biggest heart, the kindest spirit. An original hippie, always positive even to the end. I enjoyed our visit in September when I was home. Our shared love of plants and music, as well as our many similarities always will be with me as I keep you tucked in my heart. I love you and will miss you dearly. Fly high sweets. Until we meet again. Judy
