Born November 5, 1986 in Gainesville, Georgia, he was the son of Christopher Alan and Susan Kay (Pankey) Hedrick.
Surviving are his mother of North Pekin; one son, Myles Christopher Hedrick of Pekin; one sister, Tara Hedrick of North Pekin and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his significant other, Brandy Gold of Pekin and her daughters, Alexis Gold and Brooklyn Gold.
He was preceded in death by his father and one son, Kamren Zane Hedrick.
Ryan worked for Caterpillar, Inc. at the Mapleton Foundry as a melt tower operator. He last worked August 31st and had been with Cat for nearly 10 years. Ryan was a member of UAW Local 974.
He loved fishing and especially enjoyed fishing together with his son. He also was a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan and loved to watch football with his mom. Ryan enjoyed watching UFC fighting too. Ryan had a special connection with his nieces and nephews, Emma, Harper, Eros and Apollo, and liked playing with them.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor James Terrell, III will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
Memorial contributions may be made to an educational fund for his son, Myles, in care of the family.
