Born November 13, 1939 in Pekin to George W. and Naomi (Seelye) Volk, she married Terrence Paul Adams in September 1958 in Chicago. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her father; mother, Naomi Zuklic; step-father, John Zuklic; one son, Terrence “Terry” Adams; and one sister, Marilyn Friess.
Surviving are one daughter, Valerie Adams Kreager of Pekin; four grandchildren, Erika Dahler of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gregory Dahler of St. Paul, Minnesota, Nicholas Kreager of Pekin, and Kari (Charlie) Shideman of Golden Valley, Minnesota; and three great-grandchildren, Charlie, Ellie, and Maggie.
She was a 1957 graduate of Pekin Community High School and enjoyed helping with her class reunions. She held many long-standing friendships.
Sandra and her husband, Terrence, owned and operated Nationwide Wash Systems, Inc. in Minneapolis, Minnesota for over 20 years.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin and had served on the Board of Christian Services. She was a former Girl Scout leader.
An avid reader, Sandra also enjoyed traveling and crossword puzzles.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin. The Rev. Simeon Raddatz will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at a luncheon in the church fellowship hall. Burial of cremated remains will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota at a later date.
