Sandra L. Miller

Born January 1, 1952 in Chicago to Walter and Lillian (Dupage) Earnest, she married Leon “Ed” Miller in Maine. He died in 2019.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one infant nephew, Caleb Earnest.

Surviving are her siblings, Vickie (Thomas) Grider of Moss Point, Mississippi and Kirby (Yvette) Earnest of Pekin; four nephews, Josh (Brianne) Hastings of South Pekin, Jed (Barbara) Hastings of Ruckersville, Virginia, Brian (Michelle) Earnest of Sarasota, Florida and Jarrod Earnest of Washington; one niece, Chelsea (Josh) Ganion of Pekin and three step-nephews, Jerimey (Adriana) Grider of Marquette Heights, Jason (Krystal) Grider of Pekin and Brian Grider of Peoria.

Sandra has worked as a CT tech at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, retiring in 2007.

She enjoyed collecting antiques and jewelry, but Sandra truly loved the cats she cared for.

Her memorial visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A burial will take place at a later date at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
