Sandra S Wilson

Born May 23, 1948 in Pekin to Lawrence Edward and Ferne Eleanor (Zimmerman) Clarkston, she married Bill Wilson on December 23, 1966 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kristine L. Wilson of Pekin and Teri L. (Darin) Crafton of Lake Mary, FL; three grandchildren, Megan Martin of Pekin, Alexandra Crafton and Ty Crafton, both of Lake Mary, FL; two great-grandchildren, Liam Pherigo and Brooklyn Pherigo; one sister, Sylvia J. (Tim) Telford of Pekin and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sharon K. Neibch and Sheila A. Hart and one nephew, David L.G. Fifer.

Sandy was a dedicated and faithful employee of Pekin Insurance for 28 years, retiring as an Administrative Assistant for the life company in 2011. She was a longtime volunteer with the annual St. Jude Tazewell County Golf Classic.

Sandy enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was especially devoted to her family, grandchildren and friends.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
