WEST PEORIA ~ Charles Robert Shannon Strickland, 41, of West Peoria, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2014 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born July 12, 1973 in Pittsburgh, OH to Charles Stanley and Doris Irene (Yoder) Strickland, he married Jennie Renee Elrod on May 5, 2013 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Weylin Anthony Ross Strickland of Athens, TN, Aiden Elliott John Kozik of Eureka and Lane Robert DeBoer of Maryville, TN; one step-son, William Gage Carter of Tennessee and one sister, Shawana (Brent) Spicer of Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, Stanley Owen Strickland and an infant brother, Shane Strickland.
He enjoyed drawing and watching vampire and werewolf movies. He also enjoyed collecting He-Man Masters of the Universe items.
No services or visitation are planned. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
