

Born March 10, 1951 in Jackson, Tennessee, she was a daughter of Elvis Dwayne and Dorothy Mae (Magee) Weaver.
Surviving are her father of Pekin; one brother, Wayne (Debbie) Weaver of Pekin; three sisters, Shirley Weaver, her twin, of Pekin, Patty (Thurman "Brad") Bradley of Rochester, Indiana and Terri Stewart of Pekin; one nephew, Jacob Stewart of Pekin and three nieces, Michelle (Mike) Freeze of Svay Rieng, Cambodia, Monica (Nathan) Smith of Nikiski, Alaska and Sarah Pettit of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother-in-law, Rob Stewart.
Sheila was a 1970 graduate of Pekin Community High School.
She devoted many years to steady, dedicated work. She was employed by Eaton Corporation in Lincoln for 20 years, building circuit breakers, before retiring. Earlier in her working life, she was employed by Morton Pottery and Eureka Vacuum Co. in Bloomington.
Beyond her work, Sheila found her greatest enjoyment in the simple, meaningful rhythms of life shared with others. She treasured time with family, especially during the years when her nieces and nephew were young. She also enjoyed collecting eagles, shopping, and attending festivals, and she enjoyed going out to eat and some travel.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Her graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Pastor Randy Justus will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
