Shelby G Sundell

Born November 27, 1942 in Durand, Wisconsin to Theodore and Lorraine (Studer) Sundell, he married Donna Hafliger on December 13, 1963 in Pekin.

Surviving are his wife; 4 sons, Dan (Deanna) Sundell of Morton, Darren (Tammy) Sundell of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Aaron (Cari) Sundell and Travis (LeighAnne) Sundell, both of Delavan; 8 grandchildren; 1 brother, Perry (Sue) Sundell of Spring Lake; and 1 sister, Marjorie (Richard) Bottenberg of Delavan.

Shelby worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 32 years, retiring in 1998 as a transmission specialist in Building KK in East Peoria.

He was a member of the Delavan United Methodist Church.

Shelby enjoyed fishing, boating, and relaxing by the water.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2009 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Larry Moreau will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
