Shirley Jean Pollman

Shirley was born on September 18, 1936, in Peoria, to Otto Daily and Sarah Hickman. She married Raymond N. Pollman on June 30, 1957, he preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by both of her parents.

Surviving are two daughters; Laurie (Jeff Lyons) Hanson of North Pekin and Kathy (Flint Robertson) Belcher of Peoria Heights, one son; Raymond H. Pollman of Peoria, four grandchildren; Josh (Anna) Powell of Manito, Amie (Cedric Lee) Belcher of Peoria Heights, Morgan (Phil Angelico) Belcher of Peoria, and Adam (Natassia) Hanson of North Pekin, seven great-grandchildren; Dalton, Hayleigh, Hunter, Hayven, Landon, Madelyn, and Penelope, and two great-great-grandchildren; Evian and Christian.

Shirley worked as a homemaker throughout her life, caring for her family. She was also a member of the Sweet Adelines singing group. When she wasn’t singing with the Sweet Adelines, she enjoyed singing at different local nursing homes and dancing at different senior centers.

Shirley was a member of the Church of Christ, Scientist.

Cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin, IL. No services are scheduled at this time.
