He was born August 8, 1943 in Belzoni, Mississippi to Stanley and Mary (Amos) Johnson, II. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are two daughters, Selene Johnson of Marietta, Georgia and Jasmine (Ben Gant) Johnson of Seattle, Washington.
Stanley had worked as a social worker for 15 years in Georgia, Washington D.C. and Illinois.
In Stanley’s earlier years, he was a professional boxer. Physical fitness was important to him, along with reading and continually learning.
Per his wishes, Stanley’s body will be donated to medical science. There will be no services or visitation.
