Steven L Clendenin

Steven was born on June 10, 1976 in Peoria to Curtis and Feyza (Gulenman) Clendenin. He married Melisa Clendenin on May 18, 2019 after many years together, she survives.

Also surviving are his parents; one nephew, Alex Clendenin; and two step-sons, Brandin Gibb and TSgt Bradie Gibb.

Steven graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1994 and later graduated from Illinois Central College in 2006 with an associate’s degree in applied science and architectural construction technology.

He used his degree to work at SC2 for over ten years as an operation’s manager. The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to SC2 for being so supportive and kind to them during this difficult time.

In his free time, Steven enjoyed spending time with his family and his incredibly large group of friends. In addition to this, he enjoyed being outside and working in the yard, collecting currency and comic books, and traveling as he was always up for an adventure. He will be remembered by those who knew him as being a free spirit that was full of life and who loved to bring those around him together.

There are no services planned at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Steven’s name to either OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, 8630 North Illinois Route 91, Peoria, Illinois 61615 or to Tazewell Animal Protective Society, 100 TAPS Lane. Pekin, Illinois 61554.
