Steven McLeod

He was born July 13, 1960 in Pekin to George R. and Barbara Lou (Doughty) McLeod. He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Robert and Barbara Hill of Pekin; two daughters, Melody McLeod of Chicago and Erin (Johnny) Darge of Tinley Park; one granddaughter, Lu Darge of Tinley Park and three brothers, David McLeod of Peoria, Rev. Dr. Michael (Lynn) McLeod of Pekin and John (Sara) McLeod of Ventura, California.

Steven was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in Korea as an M.P.

He had worked as a bricklayer for McLeod Construction. He later became owner and operator of the business before retiring.

Steven enjoyed woodworking and playing golf. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.

He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin and Pekin Bible Church.

Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services or visitation.
