Born March 27, 1952 in Covington, Kentucky to Richard and Mary (Spiller) Rudolph, she was raised in Newport, Kentucky. Sue married Raymond McMillan, III on December 5, 1970. They eventually settled in Pekin where she proudly and diligently served as the Pekin City Clerk for 30 years.
Surviving Sue are her devoted son, Christopher (Sami Howell) McMillan of Valparaiso, Indiana; granddaughter, Kylie; siblings, Alice Rudolph (Ralph Ellis), Carol Hungler, and Ginny (Bill) Ernst; mother-in-law, Loretta McMillan; sisters-in-law, Pat (Rich Beal) McMillan, Donna (Larry) Walz, and Carole Rudolph; brother-in-law, Jim (Lisa) McMillan; several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews; and numerous friends locally and in northern Kentucky and Clearwater, Florida.
Sue never stopped missing her loving husband, Ray, who died in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary Rudolph; father-in-law, Raymond McMillan; brother, Timothy Rudolph; and brother-in-law, Thomas Hungler.
Sue was forever a thrift store and yard sale devotee, who knew how to pleasingly and artfully wear or display her finds, when for other people they would have been called junk. Many of us were the target of her teasing and whacky sense of humor, and the memories will forever bring a smile to our faces.
Her memorial visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation has been accorded.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4234 North Knoxville Avenue, Peoria, Illinois 61614.
