

Born December 16, 1961 in Galesburg to Robert and Shirley (Hopping) Morris, she married Robert “Bob” Ramirez on April 25, 1986 in Lincoln. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Bobby (Heather) Ramirez of Dover, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; one sister, Starr (Jack) Baize of Peoria; brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Dee) Ramirez of Winamac, Indiana, Vera (Kenny) Bowen of Sauk Village, Mike Ramirez of Wylie, Texas, and Joe (Nora) Ramirez of Josephine, Texas; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Joe and Sherry Hillman, who helped care for her.
Her parents preceded her in death.
She was a 1985 graduate of Bradley University in Peoria.
Sue worked as a Residential Service Director for many disability facilities throughout Tazewell County.
She was co-director with her husband of the Pekin Olympians for 20 years. She had worked with adults with disabilities and also under privileged teens in Tazewell County. Sue was always an advocate for the disable. She had been a volunteer with the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Sue was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and was a lover of all animals. She was a breast cancer survivor.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
Pastor Robert Tillman will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Abingdon Cemetery in Abingdon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with the purchase of a headstone.
