

Susan was born on December 29, 1949, in Peoria, Illinois, to Jesse Lee Cox and Georgia Ruth Arkless. She later married Virgil Kerschner in Wapello, Iowa. They shared many years together until his passing on September 25, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Kerschner; her parents, Jesse Lee Cox and Georgia Ruth Arkless; her son, Scott Tower; her granddaughter, Tiffany Tower; her sisters, Jeanie Goetz, Kathy Fisher, and Janet Snare; and her brother, Dave Cox.
Susan is lovingly remembered by her children, Larry Tower of Pekin, Illinois, Lourie Tower of Muscatine, Iowa, and James Tower of Manito, Illinois. She also leaves behind a cherished legacy through her 12 grandchildren: Kevin Tower, Michelle Berg, Amanda Evans, Billie Evans, Samantha Seibert, Aaron Tower, Amber Davis, Angelia Davis, Scott Tower Jr., Haile Tower, Brittany Tower, and Dylan Tower; and her 15 great-grandchildren: Kristin Murray, Aaron Murray, Neveah Berg, Serena Berg, Bradley Gibney, Elizabeth Bruce, Zachary Thompson, Chloe Greenwood, Colton Seibert, Tucker Hunt, Neveah Hunt, Chayse McClain, Alina McClain, Addilyn Gosselin, and Aiden Gosselin.
She is also survived by her sisters, Wendy Wiersman and Karen Patterson, and her brothers, Mike Miles and Forrest Miles.
Susan dedicated much of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), retiring in 2012 after many years of compassionate service. She found great joy in spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping. Some of her happiest memories were made with her children during family camping trips to Jellystone Park.
A devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Pekin, Susan's faith remained an important part of her life.
In keeping with Susan's wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin. No services will be held at this time.

Susan will be remembered for her caring heart, her love of family, her dedication to helping others, and the many memories she created with those she loved. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
