Susan Kay Ritchie

She was born on October 15, 1933 in Pekin, the daughter of Hubert M. and Clara Naomi (Miller) McGlinn.

She married Emery Earl “Shorty” Ritchie on March 6, 1956 in Pekin. He died on November 8, 2003.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Tammy Krieg and one brother, Wayne McGlinn.

Susan is survived by one daughter, Pamela Sue Orton of Pekin.

Susan loved her grand dogs, joking with family and friends, and especially enjoyed her shopping trips to Walmart and eating at Ernie’s Family Restaurant.

She was a member of the Pekin Bible Church.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Rev. Chad Nightingale will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
