

Born April 6, 1960 in Peoria to Edward Lee and Rose Belle (Paul) Spencer.
Surviving are her significant other of 30 years, Dennis Nelson of Peoria; four children, Daniel Spencer and Tina Collier, both of Pekin, Robin Collier of Peoria and Courtney Nelson of Peoria Heights; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five siblings Edward Lee (Crystal) Spencer, Jr. and Robert (Desiree Brooks) Spencer, both of East Peoria, Kenneth (Lisa) Spencer of Peoria Heights, Carolyn (Terry) Hoerr of Pekin and Barb Spencer of Peoria; one nephew, Russell (Ashley) Spencer of Farmington; many nieces and nephews and two dogs, Rocket and Bandit.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews, Ronnie Ulmer and Aiden Brooks Spencer.
Teresa worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years in the Washington and East Peoria areas.
She was goofy and loved to make people laugh. She liked helping people and left her door open to whoever needed it. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed cooking, watching spooky movies and her old black Chevy Nova.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. A gathering celebrating Teresa’s life will be from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Russleys Watering Hole, 17 North Fourth Street in Pekin.
