Terry Adkins

Born January 13, 1942 in Pekin to “Jack” John Herbert and Louise (Harris) Adkins, he married Lynda Natterstad on September 17, 1963 in Pekin. She died December 28, 2021. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are one daughter, Stacey (Earl) Candler of Pekin; one son, John (Nicki) Adkins of South Pekin; one grandson, Nicholas Austin Malavolti of Pekin and one brother-in-law, Gary (Roanna) Natterstad in Virginia.

Terry had worked as a fireman on the Chicago and NorthWestern Railroad in South Pekin. He retired in the mid 90’s from Quaker Oats in Pekin.

He enjoyed Lionel Trains and fishing. Terry was very proud of earning his Golden Gloves in boxing.

His private graveside will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Pastor Daniel J. Bishop will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
