

He was born July 23, 1951 in Peoria to Thomas Richard and Bettye Jean (Bishop) Cone.
Surviving are his parents of Tremont; 2 brothers, Kevin Richard (Kelly) Cone of Pekin and Thomas Randall (Elaine) Cone of Morton; 2 sisters, Cindy Joy (Steve) Johnson of Pekin and Lori Beth (Kurt) Wagner of Morton; 14 nieces and nephews; and 4 grand-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Terry worked for Tazewell County Resource Center in Tremont, and had previously worked Dietrich Furniture in Morton and Cohen’s Furniture in Pekin.
He was a member of the first class to include handicapped students, graduating from Pekin Community High School in 1971.
Terry was an avid baseball fan (especially the St. Louis Cardinals) who had a commanding knowledge of statistics and schedules.
He enjoyed traveling annually to Shiloh National Park in Tennessee. While at the battlefield, he showed his respect for both sides involved in the Civil War by carrying a Confederate flag and wearing a Union cap.
Terry also greatly enjoyed fishing.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m., Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Rev. Don Meinen will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin.
