PEKIN ~ Theodore C. "Ted" Jackson, 77, of 1432 S. Second Street, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2007 at his home. Ted was born November 22, 1929 in Manito to George and Elva Mae (Beckenhorst) Jackson. His parents, five brothers, and three sisters preceded him in death. Surviving are two sisters, Norma (Lloyd) Thomas and Flora Jackson, both of Pekin; and one brother, Nelson Jackson of Pekin.
He was a laborer for Gebhardt's Poultry for twenty five years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed hunting, yard work and traveling.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Steven M. Rowell Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
