He was born September 1, 1974 in Pekin to Thomas R. and Sheila M. Kirkman Axley.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Sheila (Jerry) Watson of Pekin;father and step-mother, Thomas (Dixie) Axley of Bloomington; grandfather, John Kirkman of Alton; grandmother, Marian Axley; 1 sister, Alissa Watson of Pekin; and Nichole Anderson and her children, Lily and Natalie, which whom he lived.
A Normal Community High School graduate, he had attended Western Carolina University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
Tom was a department manager for the Food Lion Grocer chain in Charlotte for the past 3 years.
He loved his dog, Lola.
Cremation has been accorded.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
