
PEORIA ~ Thomas Mark Grimes, 53, of Peoria, passed away at 8:01 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at his home.
He was born June 23, 1960 in Pekin to William H. and Flossie P. (Bolyard) Grimes. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dennis A. Grimes and his step-father, Wilbur T. Snoe.
Surviving are one daughter, Emily (Jeff) Norris of Farmersville; three grandchildren, Abilene, Allison and Emmalyn Norris, all of Farmersville; two sisters, Marcia Snoe and Pam (Joe) Brantley, both of Pekin; niece, Ashley Snoe; nephews, Matthew Brantley, P.J. Fuller, and Patrick Fuller; great niece, Jade Brown; and great-nephews, Payton Fuller and Paxton Fuller.
Tom graduated from PCHS in 1978. He was a graduate of ICC and Broward College in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Tom had spent his career working in computer networking and consulting.
He enjoyed Star Trek, Harry Potter movies and really enjoyed reading. He had been an avid gun collector and loved Ford Mustangs.
His most prized posessions were his two cats, Spud and Spaz.
His visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
