

HAVANA ~ Thomas Edward Watson, 56, of #4 Hillcrest St., passed away at 6:14 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at his residence.He was born January 12, 1954 in Pekin to Warren and Geraldine (Cooke) Watson. His parents preceded him in death.
Surviving are his daughter, Amber Nicole Watson of Cuba; one step-son, Corey Drake of Cuba; one brother, Stanley Watson of Pekin; and three sisters, Sandra Barr of Pekin, Gloria (Raymond) Heyde of Danvers and Patricia Watson of Sacramento, California.
Tom formerly attended Normandale Reformed Church in Pekin.
He worked for Construction Laborers Local #231 for over 30 years, retiring May 30, 2006.
He enjoyed going to blues concerts and was a member of the Central Illinois Blues Society. He was a fan of the Peoria Rivermen and Chicago Blackhawks hockey teams and played in a hockey league in Peoria. An outdoorsman, he also loved to pheasant and duck hunt and go fishing.
His funeral will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, December8, 2010at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Tom Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., prior to the funeral. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
