
Born December 9, 1946 in Pekin to Jesse E. and Dorothy Marie (Eigenbrod) Godby, he married Mary Ann Althiser on March 1, 1980 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Lori (Scott) Faichney, Anna Marie Godby and Katlyn Godby, all of Pekin; one son, Jeffrey Godby of Davie, Florida; two grandchildren, Nicholas Faichney and Kerstin Faichney; three brothers, Thomas E. (Laurie) Godby of Pekin and Terry A. (Theresa) Godby of Milton, Florida and Tab A. (Kathy) Godby of Hopedale and two sisters, Toni M. (David) Faught and Tammy (Jon) Cantrell, both of Pekin.
His parents preceded him in death.
Tim was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He worked for 33 years for CEFCU, retiring in 2000 as Executive Vice President of Finance. He was a former member of the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1869 in Pekin.
An outdoorsman, Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed cooking and was an avid sports fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears.
He attended Pekin First Church of Godand was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pekin.
A gathering celebrating Tim's life will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2007at the Knights of Columbus, 715 North 11th Street in Pekin.
Private family services will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007with the Rev. Dr. Charles W. "C.J." Plogger, Jr. officiating. Entombment will be in the Glendale Memorial Gardens Chapel of Dreams Mausoleum. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
