Born March 12, 1947 in Bath to Earl and Harriet (Taylor) Lacey, he married Sue Maple on October 8, 1992 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She survives.
Surviving are three children, Cindy (Greg Mathis) Sutton of Chandlerville, Timi (Dean) Fletcher of Chillicothe and Deanna (Dan) Hicke of Glasford; seven grandchildren, Justin (Katrina) Hicke of Glasford, Joshua (Lyndi) Hicke of Glasford, Alec Sutton of Seattle, Washington, Alissa Sutton of Charleston, Aden Mathis of Charleston, Nathaniel (Ashley) Fletcher of Knoxville, Tennessee and Emily Fletcher of Lenoir City, Tennessee; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Mason, Tyler and Ella; one brother, Robert (Audrey) Lacey of Bath and one sister, Helen Ann Hardy of Bath.
He was preceded in death his parents; two brothers, Dale Lacey and James “Jim” Lacey and two sisters, Lieura Mae Hackman and Juanita Lacey.
He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for over 30 years, retiring in 2002.
An outdoorsman, Tim was a member of Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed carving and painting ducks. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending time with family.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
