Our beautiful and loving Tina, departed this world, peacefully and willingly, in the early morning hours of Christmas Day, at her home of 44 years, in Orchard Mines, on the Peoria County bluff across from Pekin. She had said her loving good byes, made her peace with leaving, and was ready to move on for the next journey, our journey home. Her and your prayers were answered.
She spread love, joy, concern and care on family and friends and on many many others for her entire life.
Born January 6, 1949 to Dominic and Florabell (Martin) Rebuffoni, in Pekin, her loving sisters were Joann and Kay, now Joann and Kim Michael, and Kay and Ken Schinkel.
Married to Burt Dancey, on the 27th of December, 1969 – blessed by and blessing, through out her life, their 4 children – Zed (Kyong), Sarah, Silas (Kristen), and Bekah – and then by the additional amazing joy and wonder of grandchildren – Ella, Maya, Kearstin, Dominic, Theodore and Wyatt. They all survive, along with her mother and her husband.
In addition to the above, also recipients of her boundless energy, hard work and endless love and affection, were numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, countless friends, as well as – her flower gardens, her vegetable gardens, her home of 44 years in all its beauty and wonder, her children’s schools and activities, her women friends’ “card” club, her men’s only, but her, poker group, tennis teams, bowling teams, the Debordini’s push cart family, its workers and customers – her stained glass workshop – even opponents in numerous board games – all those health care workers – oxygen delivery men, OSF aides, nurses, doctors, and support staff – OSF Home health people, and her hospice angels - and so so so many more. As John says, there aren’t enough words to put on these pages to tell it all. A shining and beautiful soul, friend and helper to all.
An artist in living and loving. When you came into her life, you became family, loving and tending to one another.
Cremation was her choice, having left her body behind. A celebration of life gathering for Tina, will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Pekin Park Pavilion. Please join in person or by heart.

There will be no visitation at this time, and to friends, far flung family, and to those touched and touching her life, and her family’s life, we are truly sorry; but we need a pause right now. It has been an intense, engaged, inspiring but exhausting journey at home for Tina and for us, these past three weeks, as she struggled, physically, to stay with us - and spiritually, to accept and embrace leaving and moving on.
We know and acknowledge the unfairness and frustration in not seeing each other and gathering together now – so, missing the healing and warm solace that such gatherings bring. We hope you understand.
Please know that we know that your arms are around us and please know ours are around you, tears falling. And, as she would wish, we shall gather, share precious memories, hold each other tight, laugh, cry and sing, and celebrate Tina – her light and her love – come this Spring.
Much love and more love – it was her way of being.
