Tony Michael Bonnette

Creve Coeur ~ Tony Michael Bonnette, 79, of Creve Coeur, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at his home. He was born on August 11, 1946, in Pekin, a son of Ferd Herman Bonnette and Louisa (Berra) Bonnette. Tony married Janice A. Clark on February 21, 1970, in Creve Coeur. She survives.

He is also survived by his two sons, Richard (Michele Cutler) Bonnette of Plano, Texas and Robert (Michelle) Bonnette of Peoria; and six grandchildren, Dillion Cutler, Marisa Bonnette, Meli Bonnette, Raelynn Leiby, Madison Leiby, and Carson Leiby.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Linda Ennis and Sandy Berchtold.

Tony attained the rank of Sergeant (E5) in the Army, serving in Germany from 1966 to 1969.

Tony was a member of Iron Workers Union Local 112 in East Peoria for 55 years.

Tony oversaw the lapidary shop at the Pekin Senior Center and at the annual gem show. He was a member of various geology clubs including PAS Geology and the Pekin rock club.

Tony's family has arranged a memorial visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and the memorial service following at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bartonville. Deacon Tom Mueller will be officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
