He was born May 23, 1990 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Michael Robert and Stacy Lynn (Tribbett) Whiteman.
Surviving are his parents of rural Manito; one brother, Tyler Whiteman of rural Manito; one sister, Jessica Whiteman of rural Manito; grandparents, Sandy and Ben Peeler of Washington, Michael James Whiteman of Forest, Indiana, and Marty and Kenna Curtis of Murfreesboro; great-grandparents, Carl and Barb Stewart of Murfreesboro; aunt, Heather Bassham of Murfreesboro; uncle, Mark (Tami) Whiteman of Mackinaw; and his girlfriend, Lindsey Simon of Pekin.
Travis enjoyed fishing, bow shooting, and being outdoors.
His visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded after the visitation and there will be no funeral.
