Tucker Garner

MARQUETTE HEIGHTS ~ Tucker David Waxler Garner, 14, of Marquette Heights, passed away at 3:58 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2015 at his residence.

He was born December 12, 2000 in Peoria to David Lee and Amy Rene (Waxler) Garner.

Surviving are his mother of Marquette Heights; his father of Washington; three brothers, Tyler Garner of Pekin, Evan Lambert of East Peoria and Kaden Barnewolt of Marquette Heights; one sister, Kally Barnewolt of Marquette Heights; his paternal grandmother, Barb Garner of Creve Coeur; his maternal grandfather, Greg (Nancy) Waxler of Peoria Heights and his maternal grandmother, Valerie (Kevin) Holt of East Peoria. He also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Marvin Garner and his great-grandparents.

A freshman at Pekin Community High School, Tucker loved listening to music and woodworking. He had the ability to tear things apart and to put them back together again.

He was close to and loved his brothers and sisters. He was fond of his dog, Maddy.

His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Tim Beddingfield will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.
