

PEORIA ~ Tyler Steven Sullivan, 28, of Peoria, passed away at 9:59 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was formerly of Pekin.Born July 23, 1982 in Decatur, he was the son of Randy and Cindy (Comstock) Keyes. He married Joy Nicole Tuffentsamer on September 1, 2007 in rural Mackinaw. She survives.Also surviving are two sons, Evan Tyler Sullivan and Mason Dean Sullivan, both at home; his mother, Cindy Keyes of Pekin; his father, Randy Keyes of Pekin; his grandparents, William and Lorraine Comstock of Pekin and Betty Keyes of Pekin; four brothers, Tom (Stephanie) Sullivan, Tim Sullivan, Michael Keyes, all of Pekin and Chris Keyes of Arkansas; one sister, Stephanie Keyes of Arkansas; several aunts and uncles, including Bill (Johl) Comstock and Bob (Naomi) Comstock, both of Pekin; nieces and nephews and many cousins. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Lynn Tuffentsamer of Marquette Heights and father-in-law, Rick Tuffentsamer of San Antonio, TX.Tyler was a journeyman with Sheet Metal Workers Local #1 in Peoria. Over the past four years, Tyler worked out of the union mostly for PIPCO and was very proud to have completed the apprenticeship program in April.Tyler was devoted to his family and friends. He loved people and was very giving of himself. Tyler enjoyed motorcycles and riding for charitable causes. Just prior to his accident, Tyler had just completed a motorcycle ride benefiting Toys for Tots.He was a fan of the Chicago Bears and Fantasy Football.His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
