Vava L Lohnes

Born April 27, 1924 to William J. and Greetna (Fisher) Dagit, she married Richard Chris Lohnes on October 25, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri.  He survives.

Also surviving is one sister, Thelma (Roy "Bud") Pfeiffer of Tucson, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Green Valley, where she was a member of the choir for many years.

Along with her husband, Vava owned and operated Lohnes Chevrolet in Green Valley.  She also worked at Broderick and Bascom in Bartonville during World War II.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Green Valley.  Rev. Bruce Ghitalla will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
