Vicki Sue McKinley

Born September 27, 1950, in Pekin to Russell and Florence (Brumns) Patten, she married Thomas L. McKinley on October 27, 1973, in Pekin. He passed away on November 18,2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob Patten and David Patten.

Surviving are three children, James (Caleb) McKinley-Portee of Carbondale, Chris McKinley of Pekin and Lanette (Brad) Sackett of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Timothy, Sean, Tiffany, Matthew, Melanie, Jesse, Adam and Daymien; eleven great-grandchildren and one sister, Peggy Patten of Pekin.

Vicki was a homemaker.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin.

Vicki enjoyed going shopping and to concerts, especially Alice Cooper.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society, American Legion Post 44 and Amvets Ladies Auxiliary.

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
