Vicky Jo Hiatt

Born September 14, 1962 in Peoria to H. Joseph and Beverly (Parker) Belcher, she married Lonnie R. Hiatt on May 13, 1985 in Peoria.  He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Dustin A. Belcher of Kansas City, Kansas; two daughters, Alecia Jo Hiatt and Ashton R. Hiatt, both of Pekin and two brothers, Gale Belcher and Terry Belcher, both of North Pekin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Linda Belcher.

Vicky worked for Bob Evans Restaurant for 22 years, first in Peoria and then at the East Peoria restaurant in kitchen prep, retiring in January.

A person who enjoyed the outdoors and had a “green thumb,” Vicky enjoyed landscaping, camping, hiking and fishing.  She liked big trucks and was a rollercoaster fanatic.  She was a Scooby Doo! Fan and enjoyed watching the Sci-Fi Channel.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.  The Rev. Tom Cone will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
