PEKIN ~ Virginia Mae Haynes, 80, of 1320 Morton Street, passed awayat 3:45 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2005 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.Born January 25, 1925 in Glasford to Oral and Mabel Parr, she married Johnsie D. Haynes, Sr. on January 31, 1946 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Johnsie D. (Mary) Haynes, Jr. of Pekin; one daughter, Roberta J. Taylor of Pekin; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren;two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Severt of Peoria; and one brother, Duane Parr of Trivoli.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Billie Jean Barbour; one son, Mickey Oral Haynes; one brother; and one sister.
A homemaker, Virginia enjoyed crossword puzzles and game shows.
Her funeral will beat 10 a.m.Thursday, December 8, 2005at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
