Born November 16, 1925 in Peoria to George and Mary (Robinson) Jacobs, she married Donald A. McDougall, Sr. on October 21, 1950 in Tijuana, Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her husband on September 24, 2005; and one daughter, Judith Ann Cusac.
Surviving are one son, Donald (Jody) McDougall, Jr. of Pekin; four grandchildren, Kim (Steve) Bergquist of Washington, Jodi (Tom) Nimmo of Morton, Amy Fernandez of East Peoria, and Donald McDougall, III of Pekin; and five great-grandchildren, Kourtney and Katelyn Bergquist, Tori and Jocelyn Nimmo, and Jaida Fernandez.
Virginia was a member of First United Methodist Church in East Peoria.
She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Clover Leaf Chapter 1002 in East Peoria.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel. The Rev. Mary Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Fon du Lac Cemetery in East Peoria.
