Born August 3, 1953 in Peoria to Walter and Lorraine (Lee) Bamber, he married Gayle Crooks Peacock on February 19, 2001 in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife; his father of Alta; one son, Jeremy Bamber of Bartonville; four step-sons, Ronnie (Ceara) Peacock of Washington, Randy (Corrie) Peacock of Chenoa, Billy Peacock and Timothy Peacock, both of Peoria; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; three brothers, Larry Overturf of Yates City, David (Linda) Overturf of Peoria and Tracy Overturf; and seven sisters, Donna, Cheryl, Mattie, Jackie, Linda, Karen, and Kathy.
Walter was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers.
He had worked as a self-employed contractor in Florida for many years.
Walter had served in the United States Army.
Cremation will be accorded. There will be no visitation or service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
