Wayne Ray King

He was born on October 14, 1969, in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of Lonnie R. and Margaret A. (Seibert) King. Wayne married Rebecca A. "Becky" Hermes on December 30, 2004, in Lincoln.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Rebecca; son, Seth M.R. King of East Peoria; brother-in-law, Dan Krentz; aunt, Barb Andrews; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Donald (Lila) Hermes Sr.; brother-in-law, Don (Mary Anne) Hermes, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Conrady and Jennifer (Darren) Mitzelfelt; and longtime family friend, Sherry Crackel. He leaves behind his beloved cats, Link and Navi.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, sister Laura Krentz, mother-in-law, Ellen Hermes, brother-in-law, Rick Conrady; and sister-in-law, Vanessa Hermes.

He worked as a pressman for Versa Press, Inc. in East Peoria for the past 5 years. Wayne previously worked as a pressman and supervisor for the Peoria Journal Star for 12 years.

Wayne enjoyed golf, NASCAR, and was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and LA Rams.

Wayne's cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin. His celebration of life gathering will take place at a later date. Details will be forthcoming.
