

Born June 5, 1944 in Fairbury to Leslie and Joyce (Brawley) Watson, he married Pat Melton on February 21, 1970 in South Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are five daughters; Dollie (Bryan) Kenser of Mackinaw, Denise (Paul) Lowman of Pekin, Angie (Leonard) Green of East Peoria, Jennifer Burroughs of Pekin and Michelle (Nick) Agnew of Goodfield; nine grandchildren; Josh (Lisa) Kenser, Jeff (Thais) Kenser, Isaiah and Isaac Green, Katelyn, Karli, and Krissa Agnew, Elizabeth and Victoria Lowman; two brothers: Larry (Sue) Watson and Terry Watson, both of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; Myrna Miller and Irma Utsinger and one brother, Dee Watson.
Wayne owned and operated Watson Plumbing & Heating and Watson Construction for over 30 years.
He was a jack of all trades and a master of many, Wayne was an inventor. He enjoyed antiquing, attending flea markets and recording and playing music.
Wayne was a former member of Morton Assembly of God.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with a service officiated by Pastor Dave Jassman at 5:30 p.m.
