Wendy Marie Slaight Seelye

Born August 18, 1966 in Peoria to Leon and Shirley (Miller) Slaight, she married Lawrence Seelye on June 25, 1994 in Morton. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Crystal Taylor and Halee Seelye, both of Pekin; one son, Travis (Rita) Fardel of Mackinaw; eight grandchildren, Elijah Slaight, Bradley and Alexander Taylor, Jordyn Sanders, Nevaeh Trainor, Kristen Sophie, Jayden Barnes and Dillon Lawrence Fardel; one sister, Bonnie Benson of Utah and one brother, Lester Putney of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A homemaker, Wendy enjoyed crafting, making dream catchers, her animals and penny shopping. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and had a heart for helping others.

Wendy was a member of the Pekin Ward for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her memorial service will be held at a later date. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is assisting the family.
