Born February 13, 1942 in Mason City to Harry and Mary Ellen (Goodin) Bowersock, he married Shirley Kay Hargadine on November 12, 1983 in Peoria. She died November 13, 2015 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Vicky Miller of Bloomington; two sons, Donald (Lisa) Miller of Lutz, Florida and David Miller of Peoria; four grandchildren, Shannon (Callen) Washum, Travis (Alexis) Stewart, Mike and Hannah Miller; four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Talan, Hayden and Avery and one nephew, Mike Bowersock.
Wesley had worked at Fleming-Potter in Peoria for 25 years, retiring in 1999.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching and going to auctions and flea markets. Wesley was a Disney fanatic, first visiting during the first year of operation.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Carol Stufflebeam will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mason City Cemetery.
