

Born July 22, 1970 in Pekin to William Henry and Patricia Barbara (Tittel) Strope, he married Jean Marie Abocejo on May 31, 2013 in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Strope of Pekin; his parents, Bill and Patty Strope of Pekin; one sister, Grace (Carl) Dane of Pekin; three nieces, Anne (Tyler) Mattice of Washington, Emilee (Chad) Weyhrich of Pekin, and Mercedes (Nathan) Forero of Chicago; three great-nieces, Avery, Kinsey, and Addison; and one great-nephew, Andrew.
A 1988 graduate of Pekin Community High School, Billy received his welding certificate from Illinois Central College in 1989. He was a member of Phi Theta Kappa – Upsilon Mu Chapter and the International Honor Society in 2008.
Billy worked at DMI-Case New Holland in Goodfield as a welder for 15 years and later at Keystone Steel and Wire Company in Bartonville for the past 6 years, last working in November 2016 as a Millwright Supervisor.
Per Billy’s wishes, there will be no services and cremation will be accorded.
