Born November 9, 1926 in Dunlap, TN to James and Annie (Hobbs) Camp, he married Virginia Mae Hall in 1952. She died in 1975. He later began a long-time relationship with Georgia Ann Jones. She died in 2005. Also preceding him in death are his parents; two brothers, James Camp and Charles Camp; and one sister, Ida Mae Hicks.
Surviving are his caregivers and Georgia’s family, Jerry and Joann Reeves of Pekin, Terri Reeves of Brimfield, and Chris Reeves of Dallas, TX. He also leaves behind one brother, Willard Camp; and three sisters, Marie Hall, Pauline Thompson, and Anna Ruth Cole.
William worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 34 ½ years, retiring on July 1, 1981 from transportation in East Peoria.
His graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. The Rev. Gary Ford will officiate. There will be no visitation.
