William "Roper" Cornwell age 77 of Pekin, IL. passed away at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Timber Creek Nursing Home in Pekin, IL. He was born June 3rd, 1933 in Pekin to James and Rebecca Leslie Cornwell, they preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death were his two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are his one daughter; Annette Cornwell of Pekin, IL. and his two sons; Dale Cornwell of Pekin, IL. and Gene (Debbie) Cornwell of Green Valley, IL. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Roper served his country in the United States Air Force for many years. He also worked for Caterpillar Inc. for over 28 years as a Fork lift operator retiring in 1985.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements are in care of Woolsey Funeral Home, Pekin, IL.
Memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.
