

Born Sept. 11, 1924 in Pekin to Davis and Marticia (Watkins) Hoyle, he married Clelea Skaggs on Jun. 26, 1946 in Lincoln.
Surviving are his wife; 2 sons, Dave (Becky) Hoyle of Pekin and Freddy (Joanna) Hoyle of Manito; 1 daughter, Sandi (Bill) Hunsinger of Mahomet; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Dude worked for Corn Products Corporation in Pekin for 45 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the Normandale Reformed Church in Pekin.
Dude had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a life member of Roy L. King V.F.W. Post #1232 in Pekin, the Disabled American Veterans Post # 50 in Pekin, and the Pekin Moose Family Center # 916.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling and gardening. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.Military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
