I will fondly remember our beloved fraternity brother who we called Lumpy. He was an honest, genuine,fun looking person. He was extremely intelligent. Not a surprise he became an options trader as he was more focused on his footbal pools than his school work. Lumpy had a great smile and was a great fraternity brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by the brothers of the Chi Chapter of Psi Upsilon at Cornell. 

Patti,  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.  I am so sorry for the loss of your husband.  

Bill you will be greatly missed. I am thankful to have spoken with you at Grandpa's 100th birthday. I have always admired your quiet demeanor. 

Uncle Bill,
I will always remember you as someone who was quiet and contemplative; one who only spoke of important things.  This might sound weird to some, but I always found it a special trait because I knew that whatever you said came from the heart and was well thought out.  Whatever you had to say was important to you, which then made it important to me.

I loved trying to coax a smile from your tough exterior, and I have to admit that you never had us kids fooled.  Though you liked to think you were a man with a hardened persona; a no nonsense kind of guy, we knew what a softy you really were on the inside.

From the pranks you would pull on us, to the most thought out Christmas gifts we'd ever receive, you showed your true spirit to those you loved in so many different ways.  You'd never miss a birthday when we were young and I always looked forward to receiving either a Snoopy or Garfield card in the mail from you, knowing that you'd hand picked it just for me.  

So though I'll never again receive one of those special cards in the mail, and though I wish things could have turned out differently, I regret most not telling you lately how much you're loved.  Instead, I now must say how much you will be missed, because in my heart, I'll forever remember you as that refrigerator-raiding, backyard-sunbather I'd known as my quiet, intense, yet beautifully caring Uncle Bill.

I will miss my Uncle a lot, and I really hope that Aunt Patti gets through this difficult time with the love from family and friends. I agree very much with Aunt Jean and Uncle Don, he was a gentle giant. 

I know there is no words that can take away the pain you must be feeling.  Please know that you are in my prayers, and let me know if there is anything I can do for you or your family.  God bless you.....

Patti, You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Bill was a kind hearted and loving nephew.  He always made us feel that he cared about us.  He was a big guy with a tender heart.

He had a keen mind and welcomed a good debate.  No matter how intense a discussion, he could laugh when the debate ended and hold no hard feelings.  He was a fun guy.

When Bill served as Supply Officer on the Nuclear Submurine, he was responsible for the logistics during the visit of then Vice-President , George W.H. Bush. 

Bill was always ready to give legal advice when we needed help.  He freely shared his  wisdom and  expertise as a lawyer and gave us direction when we needed help.  His advice enabled us to make wise decisions.

Bill kept in touch with cards and well written notes that chronicaled the vacation trips he had with his beloved Patti.

We will deeply miss Bill.

I grew up with Bill on Sawyer in Markham. A lot of memories playing baseball and football in the yards, sleeping out in the backyards, Hillcrest High School, fishing trip in Big Bay, Michigan, playing in the prairies in the neighborhood. He was brilliant. I haven't seen him since he was in Law School---he came to my brother's funeral in 1992.  I am very sorry for your loss.
